Competitor boats may be stored (no racks provided) at Leone Beach, beginning at 6PM on Friday night. Security guard will be on duty all night.
FRIDAY, AUGUST 27th, 2010 – All activities at Leone Beach:
1pm-5pm – Clinics with Dawid Mocke -
Dawid will be teaching clinics again this year. Courses and schedule TBD. Please contact info@chicagoshorelinemarathon.com if you are interested in participating.
1pm-4pm – Boat demos with Chicago Paddle Sports and Ocean Paddle Sports
Come out early and try out the best and newest in kayaks, surfskis and paddleboards. Reps will be on-hand to answer all your questions. We will be featuring Epic, Fenn, Red 7, Custom Kayaks and Ark Paddleboards.
2pm – Registration Check-in Opens

5:30pm - Friday night Pre-race Dinner and Meeting:
Beachfront BBQ Dinner is $15.00/person. Meeting to follow will include marathon course review.

Saturday Post-Race Party and Dinner:
We are planning a post-race party/dinner at Leone Beach. Details and menu yet to be confirmed. Cost to entrants and guest will be free. Meal will likely start at 3pm and run through awards ceremony. This is great opportunity to catch up with long lost friends and make plans to paddle Chicago again with new ones! Please plan on joining us for a fun-filled evening before heading home.
In the event of race cancellation, Friday and Saturday parties will go ahead as planned! We have to off-load those prizes somehow!!!
